New Day Underwriting Managers Builds Underwriting Team,
Appointing Mitch Cohen to New Assistant Vice President Post

BORDENTOWN, NJ, August 3, 2009 – New Day Underwriting Managers LLC, an environmental and construction-related professional liability resource for insurance agents and brokers, today announced the regional build out of its underwriting team with the appointment of Mitch Cohen, PE of to Assistant Vice President.    

“Mitch brings to our team more than 27 years of varied and extensive technical environmental experience as a structural engineer and construction manager, environmental contractor, environmental consultant and insurance broker,” said Jefferey Lejfer, New Day Underwriting President.  “Mitch will be work closely with our agents and broker partners who will undoubtedly benefit from Mitch’s extensive industry experience.  Having Mitch in Atlanta, this will help us enhance the quality and personal service that New Day Underwriting is committed to delivering to clients in various areas of the country.”    

Mr. Cohen joins New Day Underwriting from Aon Environmental Services Group where he cultivated his technical expertise and underwriting skill with contractor’s pollution liability products and construction related professional liability products for contractors.  Additionally, he brings a deep understanding of environmental site liability coverages, working with real estate owners, real estate investment trusts, developers, industrial facilities to secure environmental insurance often used in merger / acquisition and various real estate transactions.     Mr. Cohen’s professional experience also includes positions as an environmental project manager and environmental consultant.
