David Russo Joins New Day Underwriting Managers in new Account Manager Role 

BORDENTOWN, NJ, June 24 – New Day Underwriting Managers LLC, an environmental and construction-related professional liability resource for insurance retailers, today announced the appointment of David D. Russo of Swedesboro, NJ to the newly-created position of Account Manager.

“Dave brings to New Day Underwriting a decade of solid commercial property and casualty industry experience with an excellent track record in the underwriting of specialty programs and customer service,” said New Day Underwriting Managers President Jefferey Lejfer, CPCU.  “As we continue to grow, adding high-caliber professionals like Dave ensures that we continue to provide the top-notch service that insurance brokers and their clients expect from us.”

Mr. Russo joins New Day Underwriting from Commerce Insurance Services where he was an Assistant Vice President – Business Development Associate.  Prior to this position, he held several positions at Venture Insurance Programs where he honed his knowledge in specialty risks, working on specialty professional liability programs for golf course managers, bankers and other financial services, technology companies and life science firms.  Mr. Russo began his career in the reinsurance industry at the Insurance Corporation of Hannover in Los Angeles as an Assistant Underwriter for workers compensation treaty programs and Benfield Blanch as a Reinsurance Analyst and junior broker.

Mr. Russo is a graduate of Temple University where he majored in Risk Management and Insurance with a dual major in Economics. He recently earned his Construction Risk & Insurance Specialist (CRIS) designation.
