NEW DAY UNDERWRITING ANNOUNCES ADDITION OF ANTHONY POLINI

TO SPECIALIZED UNDERWRITING TEAM

BORDENTOWN, NJ, December 14 – New Day Underwriting Managers LLC, a specialty environmental and construction-related professional liability resource for insurance agents and brokers, today announced the appointment of Anthony (“Tony”) Polini as Assistant Vice President in its Underwriting unit.

He brings more than 14 years of insurance, risk and safety management experience to our underwriting team.  It is this kind of specialized expertise that continues to strengthen New Day’s capabilities and allows us to focus on our clients’ specific environmental and construction risk management requirements.”

“Tony has experience in both the insurance industry and as a corporate health and safety officer.  He has walked in the clients’ shoes and in an insurance carrier’s shoes. This professional experience gives him a unique perspective and understanding of how these business relationships should work,” Mr. Lejfer added. 

Mr. Polini joins New Day Underwriting from ACE USA were he served as an Executive Underwriter offering Contractor Pollution and combined Contractors Pollution and Professional Liability coverage.  His responsibilities also included managing Owners Controlled Environmental Insurance Programs nationwide.

Prior to his tenure at ACE, he was a senior underwriter at XL Environmental where he serviced the risk management needs of a variety of commercial-based construction risks ranging from general contractors to specialized trades and artisan contractors.  Mr. Polini also gained valuable experience as a corporate health and safety officer for VFL Technology, West Chester, Pa.

Mr. Polini holds a BS degree in occupational safety and industrial hygiene management from Millersville University.  He is currently pursuing his Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist (CRIS) designation and remains active in both industry and local organizations including the International Risk Management Institute (IRMI) and Associated General Contractors (AGC).
